Got Milk?

I can only discover so many brand new, invigorating, tasteful music by myself. The next band, has been reviewed and discussed on a couple blogs:
www.myoldkyblog.com
and
http://discovery2005.blogspot.com/

Which if you have not already done, go check them out.
Anyhooot, The next band besides having one of the best names i have ever heard, make rambuncous, catchy garage band tunes that will set your world on fire. Also, the songs are in french.... which = international sweet loving.

There is something about bands who sing in french that really do it for me. I mean sexually, too. It could be because i have absolutely no idea what they are singing about or maybe because the language just melts together so well with the music.
Les Breastfeeders is from Montreal, just like every other unique band that has popped up over the past couple years.

see:
The Arcade Fire
The Dears
Stars
and The Stills!

The greatstest part of this band to me, is that they include both male and female vocals that could potentially make your head explode ( in a gradoise way). I think it gives the band a sound that really is not being created. Unlike other bands who use both sexes for vocal duties, this band really smacks you in the face.
If i had to compare this band to another it would have to be a heavier more grungy New Pornogaraphers. See for yourself.

Here is my favorite track off their album, which art was cut off. (Les Matins de Grands Soirs)

Here is their music video for Funny Funiculaire:

Outer Space Apes

The last time i saw this band was at a house party in the seventh grade. I had just moved back from florida, and these guys were the talk of every kid at Valley View Middle School. There are bands that influence, there are ones with your best friends, and there are ones that will change your life in the best possible ways.

This band did all of that.
THE MIGHTY SPACE MONKEYS!

TMSM have a strict formula, its not to suck. Unlike other bands that claim to put together pop-punk in their own distinct fashion, MSM stays true to their roots. With Influences that range from Green Day to the Beach Boys. The songs are crafted with a sincere honest attitude. It is what bands have been trying to accomplish for the past five years but have gotten distracted by the black eyeliner that has begun to distinguish a genre that is losing its credibility by the day.

Three fourths of MSM attend Rutgers University. The Other fourth attends Seton Hall University. However, being apart has not slowed the group down at all. They recently released a four song demo that will have you wondering why you have not heard this band before.

It is hard to classify this band into a certain genre. If you enjoy New Found Glory, Green Day, The Beach Boys or The Ramones, i gurantee this group of talented folks will not let you down.
Here are a couple tracks that will end up crawling into your brain causing permanent addiction.

This band is from Purchase NY. They met at SUNY Purchase a few years ago and decided to create lovely meaningful music.
I first heard about this band on the mighty myspace. I used to spend alot of time on Myspace. Thats besides the fact, I was booking a show at the local community center and needed this band to play. They came down performed and wowed everyone in attendance. Even my mom bought an demo. They WOWED us so much, i took them out to dinner. Some of the coolest guys around.

So I could rant and rave about how great and original this band is, but i will give you the honor. Please do yourself a favor and take a listen. I have seen this band almost five times now, and have yet to be dissapointed.

take a listen!
